Killer Conversion
So this tool has been available for quite some time now, but I haven’t had the opportunity to share…
Here’s the situation: You (or a client) has boatloads of QuarkXPress files. You need (or want) to convert them to InDesign. Although InDesign can automatically convert Quark 4.11 files, the files you need to convert are Quark 7 (or 6.5 or 6 or 5…)
Q2ID from Markzware is the answer! Get nearly perfect conversions with this tool! Of course it depends on how many documents (and how complex) you need to convert, but at only $199, I think it is worth every penny!
Oh yeah, did I mention how easy it is? After the plug-in is installed, InDesign will simply open the Quark files!
Embarrassing Moment…
I am watching the live broadcast of Adobe’s big announcement as we speak. Well, I should say I am waiting for it to reconvene… Due to technical difficulties, the webcast has been put on hold.
I guess I don’t feel so bad about little snafus that happen in class at times (ie. the Acrobat class that started late last week, sorry folks!)
I’ll be posting more about the cool new features ariving in CS3—now that it is official…
